Liaison With Our Public Safety Officials
GENA's Safety and Security Committee maintains contact with our local police and fire officials and responds to quality of life issues that may arise in the neighborhood. Every month, on the third Tuesday at 6 P.M., the First Police District hosts a "Captain's Town Hall" that is open to the public. Any citizen can attend to voice concerns about neighborhood safety, get answers to questions about district policies, or hear valuable advice and information from the police or from visiting city officials. GENA makes sure to participate in this valuable forum, and we pass the information to the public as it becomes available to us.
